The Thing serves as a prelude to John Carpenter’s classic 1982 film of the same name. Set in Antarctica at an isolated outpost where a discovery rich in scientific possibility becomes a fight for survival when an alien is found by the crew. This shape-shifting creature has the ability to transform into a perfect replica of any living being.
